Check this supplement lot after nationwide recall over possible Salmonella

West Texas shoppers who order supplements online should check one recalled lot of 365 Whole Foods Market Standardized + Full Spectrum Blend Ashwagandha Capsules. Vitality Works announced the recall because the capsules may be contaminated with Salmonella.
The affected product comes in a white plastic bottle containing 120 capsules. Check the bottom of the bottle for an expiration date of October 13, 2028, and the affected lot number ending in 26227. The complete lot number begins with 2025. The recall covers that identified lot, rather than every ashwagandha product.
The FDA posted the October 30 announcement, which says the product was sold through Amazon and Whole Foods Market stores nationwide from November 24, 2025, through October 20, 2026. Online distribution gives the notice relevance beyond communities with a Whole Foods store.
The company says no illnesses had been reported when it issued the notice. Customers should not consume the recalled product, should discard it and should not return it to the store. Refunds are available at Whole Foods Market stores.
