First Friday Art Trail returns November 6 with free gallery visits and trolleys

Lubbock’s next First Friday Art Trail is scheduled for Friday, November 6, from 6 to 9 p.m. The free event brings galleries, studios, museums and participating businesses together across the Cultural District for an evening built around local art.

LHUCA lists its campus at 511 Avenue K as one of the trail locations. Visitors can follow the route on their own, using the event’s current map and listings to choose stops. Free trolleys connect galleries along the downtown route, offering another way to move through the participating area.

The trail operates rain or shine. Exhibitions and participating stops can vary, so checking this month’s listings matters even for people who attend regularly. Free access to the trail does not mean every separate purchase from a participating business is included.

LHUCA also welcomes volunteers to help with setup, gallery and grounds monitoring, information and cleanup. Some volunteer opportunities begin as early as 3:30 p.m. People interested in helping can contact LHUCA about availability. Friday offers both a night out and a chance to support the people making art in Lubbock.
