Frenship’s Elisha Reese Won Texas Honor

Elisha Reese built her education career at Frenship. Now the high school associate principal has received a state honor and entered national consideration.

Reese was named the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals Overall High School Assistant Principal of the Year. The award recognizes her performance and leadership.

She is now in consideration for the National High School Assistant Principal of the Year award.

“It is incredibly humbling and still feels a little surreal,” Reese said.

Her career began in a Frenship classroom in 2003. She has remained in the district, serving in several roles before the latest recognition.

The awards process recognizes school leaders across Texas’ 20 regions, with a statewide winner selected from the finalists.

Reese credited the educators and colleagues who helped shape her work. She said the honor also offered a chance to represent those who supported her.

The next stage is national consideration; the district has not announced a national winner.
