Written by THE806ER STAFF-KW · Filed October 26, 2026

An 18 year old man was arrested after officers responded to reports of gunfire and a fight at a Hereford party early Sunday.
Police and Deaf Smith County deputies were called to a home near East 15th Street and Star Street around 1 a.m. October 25. Several people left the residence as officers arrived.
Investigators found shell casings outside the home. Police identified Damian Rocha as the person who allegedly fired the weapon and later located him inside the residence.
Rocha was arrested without incident and booked into the Deaf Smith County Jail on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and tampering with evidence. Police also listed charges unrelated to the party.
No injuries were reported from either the fight or the gunfire.
Investigators are asking anyone with information or video from the gathering to contact the Hereford Police Department. The case is under investigation, and the announced charges are allegations. A conviction has not been established in the update.
