High Chairs Sold at Walmart and Target Recalled Over Fall and Entrapment Risks
Written by THE806ER STAFF- KW · Filed October 25, 2026

Lubbock families who bought a convertible high chair have a new recall to check. About 3,332 Costway chairs sold nationwide were recalled October 22 because children can slip through the opening between the tray and seat.
The chairs lack a required passive restraint system, creating risks of entrapment and falls. No injuries or incidents were reported in the recall notice.
The affected chairs convert into a table and chair set. Color combinations include purple and white, red and white, blue and white, and brown and white. The products have no tracking information printed on them.
They were sold at Walmart and Target stores nationwide and through Costway’s online store from May 2023 through July 2026 for approximately $84 to $100.
Owners should stop using the affected chairs and contact Costway for a free replacement. The company will request a receipt or product photo and provide a prepaid return label.
A replacement will be shipped after the recalled chair is received. Families should compare the chair itself with the recall description rather than relying only on when they purchased it.
