Lubbock Residents Can Bring City Concerns to the Mayor This Morning
Written by THE806ER STAFF-KW · Filed October 29, 2026

Lubbock residents have an opportunity to speak directly with Mayor Mark McBrayer and city representatives this morning at Maxey Community Center, 4020 30th Street.
Coffee with the Mayor is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. Thursday and is open to residents from every City Council district. The gathering provides a setting to discuss neighborhood concerns and the services people use each day.
The agenda includes streets, transportation, public safety, utilities, water, wastewater, parks, economic development and budget matters.
The city has posted the gathering as a called special meeting because council members may attend and participate. The agenda specifically says the City Council will take no action.
A conversation about a street, utility problem or budget concern does not itself approve a project or change city policy. Residents can use the gathering to raise those issues directly with city leaders and ask questions about their neighborhoods.
