Lubbock Veterans Parade Changes Route for November 14
Written by KAYLA WILLIAMS · Filed October 20, 2026

Lubbock’s Veterans Day Parade will follow a different route this year because of construction on its usual Broadway route.
The parade is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, November 14. Participants will assemble between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m.
The procession will start on Avenue A, travel east on Broadway, turn south onto Canyon Lake Drive and finish at the grassy area across from the Windmill Center at 1701 Canyon Lake Drive.
Los Hermanos Familia and Purple Hearts 0900 are organizing the event under the theme 250 Years of Freedom. World War II veterans will serve as grand marshals.
Veterans, families, businesses, community groups and marching bands are invited to participate. Float registration is free, with donations accepted. Organizers are encouraging American and military branch flags, along with red, white and blue decorations.
The event also recognizes Military Family Appreciation Month. Residents planning to attend should note both the November 14 date and the changed route through east Lubbock.
