PAMPA POLICE RELEASE NEW DETAILS IN WALMART PARKING-LOT SHOOTING

PAMPA — Police say Saturday’s shooting outside Walmart followed a fight between two people who knew each other. Investigators reported Tuesday that the injured man suffered a gunshot wound to his lower leg and was treated and released.

Police identified the suspect as 18-year-old Jose Vasquez, who was booked into the Gray County Jail on an aggravated-assault-with-a-deadly-weapon charge. The allegations come from police; a charge is not a conviction, and Vasquez is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
