Police Seek Help After South Lubbock Porch Theft

Lubbock police are asking for help identifying a man accused of taking a package from a front porch in the 10600 block of Vicksburg Avenue.

The theft happened September 13 at 2:21 p.m. The Property Crimes Unit issued its public request October 23, seeking new information several weeks after the incident.

Police described the suspect as a white man with a thin build. He wore a black shirt, blue jeans, a dark green baseball cap and tan boots.

The man allegedly removed a package from the residence. Police have not identified him in the notice, and the description alone does not establish that any particular person committed the theft.

Anyone with information can contact Detective Damion Pleasant through the police department and reference case 260081981.

The release did not state the package’s contents or value, identify a vehicle or announce an arrest. Those details remain limited. The public request is for fresh information that could help investigators identify the person involved.
