TECH’S SOLD OUT HOMECOMING GAME GETS A 2:30 P.M. KICKOFF

The October 17 homecoming game against Arizona State is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Central on FOX.

Monday’s announcement arrived as Tech entered its only open week of the regular season with a 5 win, 0 loss record. The matchup brings together the Big 12’s 2 most recent champions.

Arizona State handed Tech its only regular season loss last year, ending the Red Raiders’ unbeaten start. The teams have split their 6 previous meetings, while Tech has won both games played in Lubbock.

Tech carries an 11 game home winning streak into the matchup. Athletics officials say the Arizona State game has already sold out, making it the program’s 11th consecutive advance sellout dating to last season.

Fans still seeking tickets are being directed to SeatGeek, the university’s official resale provider. The afternoon start gives alumni and families a confirmed time for the homecoming game. The game is part of Tech’s annual homecoming celebration.
