Texas Tech men’s basketball begins its regular season Monday, November 2, with Jackson State visiting United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m., and CBS Sports Network will televise the game.
The Red Raiders enter the opener ranked No. 19 on the official team schedule. The game begins a stretch of five straight home contests, giving local fans several early chances to see the team before the schedule moves beyond Lubbock. Tech’s previous meeting with Jackson State was a 102 to 52 win in Houston in 2022. The programs also played in Lubbock in 2012, when Tech won 84 to 75. Those results provide series history, but Monday starts a new season and will be the teams’ first meeting in a Texas Tech season opener.
The next home game is Thursday, November 5, against Bethune Cookman, with the official live events schedule listing an 8 p.m. tipoff and ESPN+ coverage. For tonight, fans watching from home should check that their television package includes CBS Sports Network, since the opener’s broadcast is different from Thursday’s streaming assignment.
