2 Amarillo Men Sentenced in Stolen Firearms Case
Written by KAYLA WILLIAMS · Filed October 20, 2026

Two Amarillo men received federal prison sentences in a case connected to an investigation of vehicle burglaries and stolen firearms.
Austin Dykgraaf, 29, was sentenced to 135 months. Zaneth Montgomery, 27, received 57 months. A third defendant, Erminio Lujan, is scheduled for sentencing October 27.
The investigation involved burglaries reported around Amarillo and Canyon. Deputies stopped a vehicle near Broadway Street and Hastings Road and recovered a firearm reported stolen earlier that month.
Investigators later searched a location associated with the defendants and recovered property linked to the burglaries.
Dykgraaf pleaded guilty in May to being a convicted felon in possession of a stolen firearm. Montgomery also pleaded guilty to possessing a stolen firearm. Other counts were dismissed under their plea agreements.
The terms announced Monday concerned those convictions. Lujan’s prison term remains a separate pending outcome, with his sentencing scheduled for later this month.
