25 LUBBOCK BUSINESSES CAN RECEIVE $5,000 GRANTS

Lubbock small business owners have until October 20 to apply for a program offering $5,000 grants to 25 businesses.

The Lifting Up Lubbock program helps businesses develop their technology and support their growth. The awards total $125,000, although submitting an application does not guarantee selection.

Applicants must have a physical business location in a community served by Optimum and a team of 25 or fewer employees. They must agree to a background check and participation in promotional materials.

The application asks owners to explain how the funding would advance their company and contribute positively to the community it serves.

Applications opened September 22. A recognition event is planned after the application period, but the grant page does not provide a date for that gathering.

Owners with questions can contact the Lubbock Chamber at (806) 761 7000.
