Beto O’Rourke Brings 2 Voter Events To Lubbock
Written by KAYLA WILLIAMS · Filed October 8, 2026

Beto O’Rourke is scheduled to appear at 2 free voter engagement events in Lubbock, beginning this evening in the Depot District.
Doors open at The Garden, 1801 Buddy Holly Avenue, at 5 p.m. Thursday. The program runs from 6 to 9 p.m. and includes music, voter status checks and remarks from O’Rourke, congressional candidate Kyle Rable and Texas House District 83 candidate Malik Williams.
Organizers said admission includes a registration check. Local Democrats and Powered by People are hosting.
A separate event runs Friday from 9 a.m. to noon near Texas Tech’s Student Union Building. Students, faculty and the public can attend.
The events focus on participation ahead of the November 3 election. That election’s registration deadline passed October 5, so checking voter status tonight should not be confused with another opportunity to meet the deadline.
