ESTACADO TAKES MOMENTUM ON THE ROAD TO SWEETWATER

Estacado heads to Sweetwater Friday night after opening the season with a 47 to 13 win over Lubbock High.

The Matadors only led 15 to 13 at halftime before exploding for 32 unanswered points in the second half.

Sweetwater enters Week 2 at 0 and 1 after a 31 to 6 loss to Idalou.

For Estacado, the biggest question is whether the Matadors can bring that second half energy from the opening kickoff. Their speed and ability to score quickly could create major problems if Sweetwater allows them to get comfortable early.

WHAT TO WATCH

Can Estacado start fast and leave Sweetwater at 2 and 0?
