Former Amarillo Officer Turns Himself In After Authorities Say He Used Police Databases To Track A Person Repeatedly

Former Amarillo Officer Turns Himself In After Authorities Say He Used Police Databases To Track A Person Repeatedly A former Amarillo police officer turned himself in Tuesday evening on a misdemeanor warrant accusing him of tampering with a government record. Christian Slade Eder had already been fired by the Amarillo Police Department in July following an internal investigation into what the department described as inappropriate use of agency resources. A criminal complaint alleges Eder searched one person’s license plate through the Flock camera system 76 times between February and June and also used another database to search the person’s name. The Potter County Attorney accepted the criminal complaint on August 31. Eder surrendered with bond already arranged and was released. The charge is a Class A misdemeanor. The allegations remain accusations, and the case has not been resolved in court. This public safety update is supported by Ace Bail Bonds, serving Lubbock when families need help navigating the system. Like, comment and share to support The806er.
