King Slum Credits 'The806er' and Previs After Securing Major Avenue Q Billboard

Local hip-hop artist King Slum recently made an appearance on the Don't Come In Here With That Bullshit (DCIHWTBS) Podcast with Kimothy Williams, taking time to share a milestone moment in his career while shouting out The806er and its founder, Previs.

During the interview, King Slum reflected on achieving a long-held personal goal: seeing his artwork and music featured on a prominent digital billboard in Lubbock. Located at the high-traffic intersection of Avenue Q and 19th Street—positioned directly above Whataburger—the digital display puts his brand in front of tens of thousands of local commuters daily. Speaking with host Kimothy Williams and co-hosts on set, King Slum described how the vision went from a goal noted on his refrigerator to a physical reality, crediting local support for helping make it happen.

"Shoutout to The806er, man... Shoutout to Previs," King Slum said during the broadcast. "He’s been a big help with a lot of stuff I’ve had going on. I couldn't ever leave him out."

The billboard highlights King Slum's latest release, features streaming details, and includes a direct QR code for drivers and fans to access his music instantly. For continuous updates on local artists, culture, and community developments across West Texas, stay connected right here with The806er.
