Lubbock families can attend a free Halloween orchestra concert Sunday
Written by KAYLA WILLIAMS · Filed October 16, 2026

Lubbock Youth Orchestras will present a free family Halloween concert Sunday, October 18, at Buddy Holly Hall, offering an afternoon of live music without an admission charge.
Activities in the lobby begin at 3 p.m., followed by the concert at 4 p.m. Children are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes and arrive early for the activities before the performance.
The program is designed for families and will feature familiar seasonal music performed by local young musicians. It gives children a chance to experience an orchestra in a setting built around the holiday.
The event also puts the performers’ work in front of a community audience. For relatives and neighbors, it is an opportunity to support local students while sharing a musical outing.
The schedule allows families an hour for activities before the young musicians take the stage, with costumes encouraged throughout the afternoon.
