Lubbock Tax Bills Go Out Today, With 1 Exception

Lubbock property tax statements are scheduled to be mailed today, October 23, but owners with property in Lubbock Cooper ISD will have a different timetable.

Those statements are being held until voters decide the district’s tax rate election November 3. The appraisal district says it hopes to mail the affected bills by the middle of November.

That distinction also matters for people checking their accounts online. The amount currently shown for Lubbock Cooper properties uses the rate requested in the election. If voters reject that rate, the amount due will be recalculated afterward.

A figure appearing on an account therefore should not be mistaken for proof that the proposed rate has passed. The election result still determines whether that calculation changes.

Other 2026 bills are available online as the mailing begins. Owners can review their account and the taxing units to check which mailing schedule applies.

The delayed statements apply to properties inside Lubbock Cooper ISD.
