Written by KAYLA WILLIAMS · Filed October 6, 2026

The Buddy Holly Center’s 2026 Celebración exhibition opens Tuesday, October 6, bringing work by more than 40 artists to the Fine Arts Gallery.
The exhibition runs through November 15 and features artwork inspired by Día de los Muertos. Artists use different media and approaches to explore the cultural tradition through their own perspectives.
A public reception is scheduled for Sunday, November 1, from 2 to 4 p.m. Visitors can view the exhibition and meet participating artists. That reception is free and open to the public.
The center is at 1801 Crickets Avenue. Regular hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. It closes Mondays and city holidays.
The reception is separate from the exhibition’s October opening.
For gallery questions, call (806) 775 3560. The November reception is free.
