Princess Costumes Recalled Just Before Halloween
Written by THE806ER STAFF-KW · Filed October 24, 2026

Lubbock families checking Halloween outfits have a new recall to watch for: certain CIYTI princess costumes contain button batteries that children can easily reach.
The recall covers about 94 sets sold through Amazon from February through June 2025 for $21 to $35. The package carries the CIYTI name, but the costume itself has no identifying markings.
Each set includes a blue dress, a crown, a wand and a remote control. Swallowed button batteries can cause serious internal injuries.
No injuries or incidents were reported. Families are instructed to take the recalled sets away from children and contact the seller for a full refund.
The refund process requires marking the dress and accessories “RECALLED,” disposing of them and submitting a photograph. Batteries should be handled through local hazardous waste disposal or recycling procedures.
The warning applies to these specific sets. Check the packaging and purchase history before including a stored costume in this year’s Halloween plans.
