Texas Tech puts its home streak on the line
Written by KAYLA WILLIAMS · Filed October 16, 2026

Texas Tech returns from its open week with an unbeaten record and a home winning streak that has reached 11 games. Arizona State visits Lubbock Saturday, October 17, for a 2:30 p.m. Homecoming kickoff.
The Red Raiders are 5 and 0 overall and 2 and 0 in Big 12 play. The Sun Devils arrive 3 and 2 overall and 1 and 1 in conference games. The matchup brings together the conference’s 2 most recent champions.
A Tech victory would produce a second consecutive 6 and 0 start. It would also extend the home streak to 12, matching the program’s second longest run, established from 2007 through 2009.
Tech enters the game No. 10 in the AP poll and No. 9 in the coaches poll. The team last played October 3, winning 29 to 7 at Colorado before its scheduled break.
Saturday’s game is sold out. Fans with tickets are encouraged to put them in their phone’s mobile wallet before reaching the stadium. The game will air on FOX.
The home streak is also tied for the sixth longest active run in college football.
