TRAFFIC BACKED UP ON NORTH SIDE OF I 27 AFTER 18 WHEELER GOES OFF FEEDER ROAD

Drivers on the north side of I 27 are dealing with heavy traffic this afternoon following the 18 wheeler crash near 50th Street.

The slowdown is connected to the earlier incident where a large truck went off the elevated feeder road and ended up below the roadway.

Traffic is now stacking up through the area as crews continue working around the scene. A photo sent to The806er shows long lines of vehicles moving slowly through the interstate corridor.

Drivers should expect delays and consider another route if possible until the scene is cleared and traffic begins moving normally again.
