Lubbock County recorded 25,388 early voters through the first 3 days of the 2026 election, according to a turnout comparison shared by Gracie Gomez.

The table lists 8,852 voters on Day 1, followed by 8,638 on Day 2 and 7,898 on Day 3. Wednesday’s count brought the cumulative total above the same point in the last 2 midterm elections.

In 2022, the county recorded 16,785 voters through 3 days. This year’s total was 8,603 higher, an increase of approximately 51.3%.

The comparison with 2018 was closer. That election recorded 24,350 voters through Day 3, putting this year ahead by 1,038 voters, or approximately 4.3%.

The county’s registered voter population has also grown. The table lists 204,576 registered voters in 2026, compared with 187,775 in 2022 and 176,056 in 2018.

That distinction matters. This year’s first 3 days represented approximately 12.4% of registered voters, compared with 13.8% in 2018. More people had voted this year, but a smaller share of the registered electorate had participated than at the same point in 2018.
