POLICE IDENTIFY PEDESTRIAN KILLED IN COLLISION WITH SEMI ON MARSHA SHARP FREEWAY

Lubbock police have identified 57 year old Larry Frazier as the pedestrian killed Tuesday morning near the Marsha Sharp Freeway and Avenue Q. Investigators said Frazier was walking north across the 1700 block over Avenue Q and was then seen running back south before the collision with an eastbound semi. The crash was reported shortly after 10 a.m. The truck driver was not injured, and eastbound lanes reopened Tuesday afternoon after the scene was cleared. Police have released no additional finding about why Frazier changed direction, whether visibility played a role or whether any citation is expected. No arrest has been announced. The investigation remains open, so the known sequence should not be read as a final determination of fault.
