Rick Ross’s latest headline comes with a booking photo.

The 50-year-old rapper was arrested by Miami Beach police Thursday morning, October 1, on charges of battery by strangulation and battery involving domestic violence, according to jail records reported by NBC6.

Ross, whose legal name is William Leonard Roberts, was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. His bond was listed at $6,000, including $5,000 for the strangulation charge and $1,000 for the battery charge.

The arrest comes days after his former girlfriend, Jazzma Kendrick, publicly accused him of physical abuse. She shared photos of an injured lip and alleged that Ross caused the injury. Alongside one photo, she wrote:

“A man that puts his hands on me, is a man that never loved me and never will.”

It has not been confirmed whether today’s arrest is connected to Kendrick’s allegations.

Ross is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
