UNBEATEN TEXAS TECH HEADS TO COLORADO

Texas Tech takes 4 wins without a loss into Boulder on Saturday, October 3, for its first Big 12 road game of the season. The Red Raiders, ranked No. 12, face Colorado at Folsom Field with kickoff scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Central.

Tech enters with 1 conference win, while Colorado has 2 wins and 2 losses overall and lost its first conference game. The Buffaloes lead their series with 6 victories to Tech’s 5, including a 41 to 27 win in Lubbock in 2024. Tech’s only victory in 5 previous trips to Boulder came in 2010.

There is also a coaching milestone attached to the trip. Joey McGuire has 39 wins at Tech. A victory would give him 40 in 58 games, the quickest a coach has reached that mark in program history.

The Red Raiders have won 7 of their past 8 road games, a stretch that includes this season’s trip to Oregon State. Saturday’s game will air on FOX, giving Lubbock fans a way to follow the conference matchup without traveling to Colorado.
