Lubbock Job Fair Opens Today With No Registration Needed

People looking for work can meet employers today at the South Plains Job Fair without an admission fee or advance registration.

The fair runs Thursday, October 8, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center, 1501 Mac Davis Lane. Employers from across the region will be in the exhibit hall to discuss positions and meet applicants.

Organizers ask job seekers to bring their résumé, preferably with several copies, and come prepared to talk.

A computer lab in the center of the fair floor will allow applicants to complete online applications while there, giving people a way to take the next step after meeting a recruiter.

A ribbon cutting is scheduled for 9:45 a.m. in the entry lobby. Public doors open at 10 a.m.

Job seekers can simply show up during the fair’s hours. Employer registration has closed. Event questions can be directed to (806) 744 1987.
