OCTOBER FEDERAL BENEFIT PAYMENTS BEGIN THIS WEEK

Supplemental Security Income is scheduled for October 1. People who began Social Security before May 1997, or receive both benefits, are scheduled for October 2 because October 3 falls on Saturday. Other payments arrive October 14, 21 or 28 based on birth date. A second SSI payment arrives October 30 as the November payment.
