She Met With the School to Protect Her Daughter. Hours Later, She Says Her Child Was Punched in the Mouth at Willow Bend Elementary
LUBBOCK, Texas — A mother says her daughter was shoved down and punched in the mouth at Willow Bend Elementary less than 3 hours after a meeting with school staff about repeated incidents involving another student.
Tee Nicole shared a photograph showing redness and what appears to be a small amount of blood inside her daughter’s upper lip. She attributed the injury to the latest reported playground incident.
“I get a call not even 3 hours after this meeting with the school,” Nicole wrote. “He shoved her down and punched her in the mouth.”
Nicole alleged the same student had repeatedly hit, kicked and thrown objects at her daughter before the meeting. She said her child had returned home with new marks and cried while describing what was happening.
“She’s coming home damn near every single day with new markings,” Nicole wrote.
The mother said school staff called her in for a meeting about the situation. She later reported receiving another call about her daughter being hurt that same day.
Nicole said the repeated incidents had left her considering removing her daughter from the school.
The photograph documents the condition Nicole reported, but does not independently establish how the injury occurred. The information available does not include the school’s account or details of any measures taken in response.
Both children’s names are being withheld.
