Texas Early Voting Begins In 1 Week

Texas voters have 1 week before early voting begins for the November 3 general election, giving Lubbock County residents time to review ballots and plan a trip to the polls.

Early voting runs October 19 through October 30. Election Day voting is scheduled for November 3 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The state calendar includes extended voting hours during the final week of early voting and required weekend hours at the main early voting location. Residents should check their county’s published schedule because individual locations can have different operating hours.

Voters who intend to use a mail ballot face another deadline: eligible applications must be received by October 23. Mailing an application on the deadline does not satisfy a requirement that it be received by that date.

The voter registration deadline for this election was October 5. Voters should confirm their registration information, review identification requirements and check the correct polling locations before heading out.
