Texas Tech Takes An Unbeaten Record And A Program Milestone Chance To Colorado

No. 12 Texas Tech enters its first Big 12 road test at 4 and 0 when the Red Raiders visit Colorado at 6:30 p.m. Saturday on FOX. Colorado is 2 and 2, and the series has rarely favored Tech in Boulder. The Red Raiders are 1 and 4 there, with their lone road win coming in 2010, while Colorado leads the overall series 6 to 5 and won the most recent meeting 41 to 27 in 2024. Joey McGuire enters at 39 and 18 as Tech head coach. A win would make him the fastest coach in program history to reach 40 victories, doing it in 58 games instead of the 60 Pete Cawthon needed. Tech has also won seven of its past eight road games and four straight Big 12 road games. That makes Saturday more than a rankings test. It is a chance to change the history of this matchup.
