Lubbock will host separate events tied to the Texas Senate race on Tuesday, October 27, with President Donald Trump campaigning for Ken Paxton and James Talarico holding an evening rally.
Trump is scheduled to deliver remarks at 2:30 p.m. The announced schedule calls for doors to open at 11 a.m. and the event to begin at 1 p.m. An RSVP is required, and the venue had not been announced in the latest update.
Talarico’s event is planned for the Frazier Alumni Pavilion at Texas Tech. Doors open at 6 p.m., followed by the program at 7 p.m.
Democrats for Texas, a registered student organization, is sponsoring the campus rally. It is part of Talarico’s statewide Clear Eyes, Full Hearts Tour.
Paxton, the Republican attorney general, and Talarico, a Democratic state representative, are competing for a U.S. Senate seat. Both announced appearances fall during early voting, which ends October 30. Attendees should use the confirmed schedules and watch for the still pending location of Trump’s event.
