Unbeaten Texas Tech Takes Its Next Test to Cincinnati

Texas Tech will carry a 6 and 0 record into Cincinnati on Saturday, October 24, with a chance to reach a milestone the program has not achieved since 2013: a 7 and 0 start.

The Red Raiders moved to No. 8 in the Associated Press poll and No. 5 in the coaches poll after beating Arizona State 53 to 25. They are 3 and 0 in Big 12 play and remain among 6 unbeaten teams nationally.

Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. Central at Nippert Stadium, with television coverage on FS1. Cincinnati enters 4 and 2 overall and 1 and 2 in conference games.

This will be Tech’s first visit to Nippert Stadium. The programs previously met in Lubbock in 1968 and 2024, making Saturday their 3rd meeting overall.

Tech also brings a streak of 4 consecutive road victories. Its current run of 25 straight appearances in the AP poll is the longest in school history. A win would deliver the program’s 5th 7 and 0 start and keep the Red Raiders unbeaten as they begin the second half of their remaining regular season schedule.
