LUBBOCK OFFERS A WAY TO ADDRESS TICKETS AND WARRANTS

Lubbock residents with unpaid municipal tickets or warrants can visit the court during its October Case Resolution Campaign, which runs through October 16.

The program covers cases filed in Lubbock Municipal Court, including Class C misdemeanor traffic citations. Walk in hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1214 14th Street.

The court says people voluntarily appearing for participating municipal cases during the listed times will not be arrested, and failure to appear charges will be waived for those who come in voluntarily.

Bring identification or a driver’s license. No appointment is needed, and Spanish interpreters will be available.

Residents unable to pay can speak with a judge about payment plans, community service or applying jail time as credit. A jail card is needed for that last option. Participation requires speaking with the judge.

The court can answer questions at (806) 775 2473.
